Why bench samples require commercial scale-up
A bench formula may use different mixing intensity, temperature, timing, ingredient order, oxygen exposure, carbonation, filtration, or holding conditions than a commercial batch. Scale-up determines whether the formula can be produced repeatedly within finished specifications.
